Your dance life begins here ...
The Benicia Ballet Theatre was founded in 1991 under Artistic Director Jeanie Pors. This non-profit organization has been dedicated to providing a creative outlet for local dancers, choreographers and artists. BBT is the first ballet company to be formed in the City of Benicia bringing an annual production of The Nutcracker to the North East Bay Community.
Local dancers have the opportunity to perform in this large cast by attending BBT's open auditions held at the BBS Studio in early June. Dancers from the Intermediate and Advanced levels are chosen to become Senior, Junior and Apprentice Company Members. In addition, adults and very young dancers age 3 to 6 interested in participating in this production may apply by calling the Director.

Becoming a BBT Member
To become a member of the Benicia Ballet Theatre, pick up a BBT Membership form at the BBS Studio, give us a call or send us an email and we'll send it to you. Form is also available in Adobe PDF format to download and print.
The BBT Members have the opportunity to vote in the new board each year. Also, your membership fee helps to provide the needed funds to continue productions. As you may know, ticket sales only cover 1/2 to 3/4 of production costs so your contribution helps to assure that we can continue productions for our Benicia / Vallejo communities. Membership fees begin at $20 and are tax deductible.
